Since July, many parts of our country are experiencing serious flooding.  Flooding of Huai River was the second largest of second region since 1954, after China was established.  Chong Qing, Sichuan, Shandong, Shanxi, Yunan and Xinjiang are all experiencing heavy rain, flooding has occurred. 

Jet Li, the founder of One Foundation and the members of the management committee are highly concerned with the news of flooding.  Mr. Jet Li is highly concerned with the disaster zone in the midst of his busy filming schedule. He is in contact with Red Cross Society of China almost everyday to have the most updated news and Red cross work in the disaster zone.  To see so many people who have left relatives, house, all the staff of One Foundation are deeply saddened.

With the unanimous decision of One Foundation management committee, 100,000RMB will be transferred through Red Cross supporting channels to support the flooding zones.  This is the second transfer One Foundation made on natural disasters since the June earthquake in Yunnan Puer.  Due to the numerous places in the disaster zone, Red Cross decided to use this fund for Shandong area.  Actual reports will be delivered to One Foundation in forms of reports.

Even though 100,000RMB is not a big number, with limited material help, One Foundation hope to send “one family” care to the people in the disaster zone.  This 100,000RMB represents the love of more than 100,000 people.  From the working reports of One Foundation project on July 19, there are already 350,000 people participated in One Foundation, using 999309 mobile SMS donation number.  One Foundation Project, on behalf of these 350,000 people, would like to say to the people in front line of the disaster zones: one family will always support you.
