 Distributing red envelopes with New Year lucky
money to children at Angels

Office, One Foundation “New Year Lucky Money”fund-raising campaign started on February 1 and
came to a successful conclusion on February 17. A total of 875,256 yuan was
raised through the campaign. 48 volunteers participated in the event. 6385 One
Family members made generous donation at fund-raising locations, through online
donation or bank transfer. Over 70,000 net users refueled the campaign and sent in their best wishes
online. Since February 17, One Foundation
distributed 300 yuan New Year lucky money to each of the 2006 orphans and disabled children, a total of
601, 800 yuan, through partner charity organizations. Distribution has
completed by March 28, and details of charity money usage will be released by
mid May. The balanced 273,456 yuan will be further used on orphans and disabled children aid projects.
On Lantern
Festival, February 17, One Foundation led some participants to pass on the love
of this campaign. In the morning, a visiting team of volunteer representatives,
media volunteers, donor representatives and their children, together with One
Foundation staff workers, visited two aid receiving organizations, and played
interactive games with children from Shenzhen Huayang Special Children
Rehabilitation Centre and Shenzhen Shelian Social Services Centre (Angels
Home), listened to their stories of life, distributed the red envelopes with New
Year lucky money, and made the children feel the care from the rest of the
society.
After the visit, representatives
of the aid receiving organizations, venue sponsors, promotion partner representatives,
volunteer representatives and donor representatives gathered together to
celebrate the Lantern Festival thanks to the support of Yitian Holiday Square.
Mr. Yang Peng,
Secretary-General of One Foundation first delivered a speech, sharing the idea
and development of “New Year Lucky Money”fund-raising campaign. Only after settling down
in Shenzhen for such a short period of time, One Foundation can not accomplish
its first charity project without support from all walks of life who
participated in this event and the trust and support by One Family members. The
goal of this campaign is now achieved. Donors expressed and developed their
willingness to do charity, and orphans and disabled
children felt the care from the rest of the society. Ma Hong, Head of Shenzhen
NGO Management Bureau recognized the campaign and he expected One Foundation to
focus more on children aid area in the future.

Except for the 4
aid receiving organizations in Sichuan, Xinjiang, Qinghai and Yunnan who will receive
the charity money later on, all the 7 non-profitable organizations in Shenzhen

Welfare Centre of Aba District, Kashi Welfare Centre, Xinjiang, and Qujing Children’s
Welfare Centre, Yunnan Province will guarantee the usage of the charity money
for the aid receiving children. At the same time, One Foundation also invited
One Family members and the media to participate in the supervision of
distribution and usage of red envelopes with New Year lucky money.

There is a group of lovely people, who sacrificed celebrating
the Spring Festival with their own family members and joined in “New
Year Lucky Money”fund-raising campaign. Their warm smile impressed every passer-by.
They are the volunteers of this campaign. They moved others, and were also
moved by all the family members who showed love during the 20 days campaign.
The two wish trees full of red envelopes are the witness of this campaign. On
the Lantern Fesitival gathering, representatives from volunteering
organizations which supported the campaign, volunteer representatives and donor representatives
all gave their speeches, passionately telling others how they realized a dream
on the charitable platform of One Foundation.
“New
Year Lucky Money”fund-raising campaign is coming to a successful close. We want
to thank all family members who offered help and sent wishes to children, and
all One Family members who participated in the campaign. We look forward to
