As of 15:30 pm on the 14th, the contributions launched by One Foundation have raised over 18.6 million RMB, of which the individual contributions make up 8.4 million RMB, enterprises and overseas donations amounted to 10.2 million yuan RMB.
With people in disaster areas lacking basic living and medical supplies all sectors of the community are getting involved. For more effective assistance to disaster areas, One Foundation is preparing emergency relief supplies to the affected areas. One Foundation donations continue to rise
On the evening of May 12， One Foundation officially launched the fund-raising appeal for earthquake relief. As of 15:30 pm on the 14th, The contributions raised by One Foundation have been over 18.6 million RMB!
The night of the earthquake, One Foundation contacted partners Tencent, Sohu, Taobao, Tianya, Air and other sites to conduct fund-raising immediately. This network allowed spontaneous sharing of information for a rapid, boundary-less method of action that is a natural result of a need to help and take action.
Not only were donations on the internet being made, but corporate donations were a big part of the picture. The enterprise participates are not only the partners of One Foundation, there are many other companies which took the initiative to contact One Foundation, with corporate employees and staff and media all taking part.
As soon as the earthquake occurred, One Foundation Founder Jet Li paid close attention to the situation in disaster-areas. After contacting relevant departments of disaster areas, One Foundation decided to hold a press conference on May 14th and 15th in Singapore and Beijing, respectively. On May 16, Jet Li will fly to the disaster areas in Sichuan and escort relief supplies on behalf of the One Foundation family and visit the victims, to participate in relief work, and contribute help for earthquake relief.
As rescue teams started the rescue work, news that disaster areas lacked medical treatment and basic necessities were constantly reported. Faced with the needs of disaster areas, One Foundation hoped to do its part.
