The infrastructure construction of One Foundation’s Green Home Project was officially commenced in Yujiang Village, Luoshui Town, Shifang City on January 6th, 2010. It marked that the Green Home Project is now at the construction stage. 

Funded by One Foundation and implemented by Beijing Green Cross, the Green Home Project aims to offer a complete plan to Yujiang Village’s post-earthquake reconstruction, including master plan, shop drawings, tubing and wiring, utility, transportation, landscape, garbage sorting, sewage treatment and community facilities, which takes ecology, environmental protection and equilibrium into consideration. This Project will integrate the local biological diversity, cultural diversity, rural economic development and community sustainability into the blueprint.  The local government will rebuild Yujiang Village in compliance with the master plan.

While the construction had been planned to start in September 2009, the master plan was adjusted and improved from the discussion between One Foundation, Green Cross, local government and aiding organizations, after the participation of Beijing sponsor in early September, which further expanded the planned area. At the moment, the reconstruction plan has been generally finalized, all infrastructure contractors and equipments have arrived at the site, and the construction has started.
