The First One Foundation Charity Cup race was completed on August 12th at the Shanghai Race Track. Jet Li, founder of the One-Foundation, led more than ten race drivers to a race competition, which is full of passion, speed and benevolence. The racers are all volunteer stars coming from China Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Shanghai Automobile and Motor Sports Association (SAMSA), Formula Racing Development Co., Ltd (FRD) and Shanghai International Circuit Management and Development Co., Ltd. were partners. This is their fourth term to sponsor the Star Race, but the first time to cooperate with One Foundation. It’s very different from prior Star Race games. This time people participating the race included not only celebrities, but also everyday volunteers, exemplifying the concept of One Foundation says: One Big Family. Everybody can contribute.

Yuling, from Shanghai, a longtime volunteer, and Zhangyan, from Beijing, is a Student-Volunteer. Both of them are the best in the selections. They appeared with Jet Li as well as the stars, and showed the point of One Foundation, namely, that everyone can participate.

On that day, more than 10,000 people there sent text messages to 999309 in the same breath to donate their money, which set a record. Jet Li and the volunteers took out their cell phones to donate 1 or 2 RMB to 999309. Enthusiastically, there were 400,000 people who donated by texting to 999309

After that, the first One Foundation Charity Cup race began. Two volunteers as well as Jet Li, hitched a roadster running a round on the circuit. Then a keen racing match went on with 15 people: Sun Nan, Lin Zhiying, Qian Jiale, Zhong Hanliang, Guo Pinchao, Guo Tao, Wu Jiale, Li Shanshan, Chen Yufan, Liu Tao, Chen Juanhong, Ceng Li, Wang Jing, Gao Qi and Zhang Dianfei. After finishing the 6th round, Wu Jiale arose as the male champion, Li Shanshan as female champion. Lin Zhiying and Wang Jing received second place. Sun Nan and Chen Juanhong took the third place.
