One Foundation Initiates International Charity Cooperation |

On September 25th, 2007, the Red Cross Society of China Jet Li ONE FOUNDATION co-announced with Thailand’s “TO BE NUMBER ONE” charity fund that the two organizations would work together as partners for the development of Sino-Thai philanthropy. This is the first international cooperation project for ONE FOUNDATION.
On 25th of September, 2007, at the closing ceremony at China Central Place, Princess Ubol Ratana unveiled JW Marriott Hotel Beijing and Ritz-Carlton Beijing located in China Central Place. Later she officially announced Thailand’s“TO BE NUMBER ONE” fund and the China Red Cross Jet Li One Foundation formed a partnership. As founder and committee chair of “TO BE NUMBER ONE”, Princess Ubol Ratana put a presented Mr. Jet Li with a plaque of honor and Mr. Jet Lee presented her with a One Foundation T-Shirt with his autograph. The cooperation of the two charity funds began in friendly atmosphere.
When talking about cooperation with ONE FOUNDATION, Princess Ubol Ratana says the cooperation is based on previous interactions and sound mutual understandings. First, the two charity funds both care about juvenile groups. Although with slight difference, the main objective is to help youth carry themselves with confidence. Princess Ubol Ratana especially sympathizes with Mr. Jet Li’s concept of Environmental Protection. She hopes to spread this concept to reach more youth in the world through cooperation with ONE FOUNDATION.
At the same time, ONE FOUNDATION’s international vision and professional management also give Princess Ubol Ratana a deep impression. “Despite its short history, after having a comprehensive understanding of ONE FOUNDATION, I believe it’s an unprecedented philanthrophic program in China of international standards.
ONE FOUNDATION happens to have ONE, which is a key word in Thailand’s “TO BE NUMBER ONE” fund. “It’s God’s will, our cooperation was destined.” Princess Ubol Ratana says in a light tone.
As the initiator of ONE FOUNDATION, Mr. Jet Li attaches great importance to the cooperation. “My first ideal when I founded ONE FOUNDATION was: We’re all family as long as we live on Earth. I’ve always had this wish, that wherever in the world something bad happens, you can always see Chinese volunteers on the site to help out. ONE FOUNDATION starts from China, and one day will cover the entire globe. It’s encouraging to cooperate with “TO BE NUMBER ONE” foundation. Our cooperation is based on an common aspiration: offer our love for a better humanity.”
ONE FOUNDATION will start complete cooperation with Thailand’s “TO BE NUMBER ONE” fund on charity works. It includes global fund raising, international joint salvation programs, exchange of philanthropy programs, symposiums on developing charity, etc. This kind of international charity cooperation provides China’s philanthropy course with an new alternative.
