On September 26th, 2007, former president Clinton held his annual international symposium, the Clinton Global Initiative. About 1500 representatives from government, Fortune 500, and over one hundred charitable organizations participated in the symposium. Jet Li, the chairman of One Foundation also participated. One Foundation was the youngest organization on this conference. Moreover, it’s one of few charitable organization coming from Asia.

CGI international symposium has been held three times prior, with a focus on addressing poverty, health and medicine, education, and the environment. It aims to enhance international communication and improve the development of social services and charities. As the representative of the One Foundation, Jet Li introduced his concept, plans and the outlook of One Foundation. Jet Li was moved deeply that he had the chance to participate at the forum, saying, “One-Foundation is still young. Thanks to Mr. Clinton and CGI plan, I'm honored to be involved in the seminar and have the opportunity to gain experience from it. Communicating with each person here strengthens One Foundation’s concept that living on the earth together, we are a big family.”

During the seminar, Clinton arranged a private meet with Jet Li, talking about the charities. Having seen the Jet Li’s film “Fearless,” and been encouraged by the spirit displayed in the film: “A gentleman ceaselessly strives along and strengthen himself without stopping.” Clinton expressed that he plans to help One Foundation grow.
