After reaching strategic partnership with Shanghai Media Group, ‘One Foundation’ reached strategic parternership with Huayi Brothers Group and held a signing ceremony. Jet Li, founder of ‘One Foundation’ signed strategic coperation contract with Mr. Wang Zhongjun, chairman of Huayi Brothers Group, and introduced their strategic cooperation plan.
In the next ten years, Huayi Brothers will donate domestic box-office income from its investment-controlled films, that means, Hua Yi Brother Group will donate ten cents RMB per film ticket from Huayi controlled films to charity. In addition, Hua Yi Brother Group will use its films, advertisement materials and after-film products to spread the idea of ‘One Foundation’.
Their coperation will begin with the film <The Forbidden Kingdom> which will be on scene in April. In order to have a good start, besides Hua Yi Brother’s donation of one jiao per film ticket of this film, Hua Yi Brother asks four domestic film companies, which are Beijing Xinying Film Company, Zhongying Xinmei Film Company, Shanghai Lianhe Film Company and Beijing Wanda Film Company to donate one cent RMB per film ticket of this film to the charity.
The corperation between ‘One Foundation’ and Hua Yi Brother started a new charity model in China’s film industry that directly unites industry chains and charity donation. Such charitable mode may lead consumers to form charitable habits. Jet Li, founder of One Foundation, says One Foundation gained great support from film industry, for example, from many film companies, film directors and actors and actresses since its establishment last year. For instance, China Film Group publicised ‘One Foundation’ on the posts and film scripts of twenty-three films last year. The mode of box-office income donation is the wisdom of people in film industry. One Foundation hopes to promote charital causes with the Chinese film industry. |
