Let us rebuild the beautiful Sanjiang Region |

April 14, 2010, Yushu County, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province has experienced a 7.1 magnitude earthquake. At the moment, destruction of all the houses, death of the relatives, all of the sudden the beautiful Sanjiang Region was totally destroyed, shops and houses flattened to the ground, everything makes our heart broken.
On the same day One Foundation knows the disaster happen in Yushu County; they mobilize their rescue teams and went to Yushu on that night. Under the help of Local Government and warmhearted persons, a rescue coordination centre was established in Xining. The next day after the earthquake, the founder of One Foundation Mr. Jet Li brings relief supplies to Yushu County together with his work teams. And those much-needed foods, warm blankets and other essential supplies and drugs was delivered to the core area & nearest area affected by the earthquake, in order to carry out the relief work. Once Mr. LI find out the news that one orphanage house in Nangqian County had destroyed and collapsed in the earthquake, Mr. LI went to there immediately to hold a memorial ceremony for the Hong Kong volunteer "A Fu" who gave his life to rescue of those young children in the orphanage house, In order to implement the benevolence from One family members, after communication with the state government Mr. LI decided to undertake the reconstruction of the orphanage houses.
After the emergency relief, we will face a more difficulty post-disaster reconstruction works. In this situation, One Foundation will continue to support the reconstruction works after the earthquake in Yushu County and being a good public bridge to connect the benevolence and disaster area together. In order to rebuild our beautiful home, One Foundation appeals all their family members to act, and work together to reproduce the beautiful Sanjiang Region again! |
